An exciting opportunity has come about for a Toddlers Head Teacher to join our team at our modern early learning centre, BestStart Birkdale.
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Head Teacher to lead our busy Toddler room, catering to up to 28 toddlers in our well-established, high-occupancy centre.
Our centre philosophy is built on creating a warm and welcoming environment where children are free to explore at their own pace. People, belonging, and relationships are at the heart of what we do.
We provide a respectful and supportive culture throughout the centre and are actively involved in our local community. The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a Head Teacher, a strong understanding of ECE regulations, and a commitment to a play-based, child-led approach to learning. We are looking for someone with Full teacher Certification for this role.
This is a permanent position working 40 hours Monday-Friday.
Role requirements: B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE) and current teacher registration/certificationA strong understanding of programme planning, pedagogy and curriculumGood knowledge of the current ECE Regulations, Te Whariki and hold compliance in a high regardPassion and commitment for teaching and learning with a focus on delivering qualityWhy work For BestStart?
