Head of Subject - Food Technology (1MU & 1MMA)Long Bay College is a co-educational secondary school located in a peaceful location near Long Bay Beach and the new Long Bay Village. The school opened in 1975 and has approximately 1800 students with 150 teaching and support staff combined.
We are seeking a full-time, permanent Head of Subject in Food Technology to commence Term 1, 2025.
An exciting opportunity is available for an outstanding teacher of Food Technology who can teach up to Level 3 in a well-resourced, progressive, and innovative faculty, with a proven track record for outstanding results and scholarships.

The successful applicant will have experience with NCEA and the qualifications framework and be a confident food technology teacher. They will possess excellent interpersonal and organisational skills and the ability to lead the curriculum from Year 9, including NCEA Levels 1 to 3.
This role is ideal for a motivated teacher who has had previous leadership experience or is ready to step into leadership.

The terms and conditions, including base salary and hours of work, for this position are set by the Secondary Teachers' Collective Agreement. The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from $59,027 to $99,216, depending on the applicant's qualifications and experience. Individual actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed.
New graduate teachers may be eligible for a pre-tax payment of $10,500 through the Voluntary Bonding Scheme, subject to conditions.
