About the role:
We are seeking a motivated and inspiring head of subject: drama to join our dynamic Performing Arts Faculty. We require a candidate with a passion for drama and the ability to teach the subject, primarily focusing on Y7–13. A strong understanding of NCEA is essential. A willingness to develop the IB theatre arts programme is an advantage. The successful applicant will possess strong leadership capabilities and the ability to inspire and lead a small team of teachers. They will also have the ability to direct large-scale productions.
Key responsibilities and skills:
Experience in teaching drama to students, with a primary focus on Y7–13.
Strong understanding of NCEA and a willingness to develop the IB theatre arts programme.
Ability to teach drama to Scholarship level.
Lead both the drama curriculum and the co-curricular drama programmes.
Stay updated with current educational practices in drama education.
Collaborate with colleagues to provide the best learning opportunities for students.
