Reporting to the Chief Strategy and Planning, this role focuses on leading and sustaining Watercare's strategy by managing the strategic planning process, implementation and monitoring of initiatives. This water services wide strategy will prepare Watercare for excellence into the future. Responsibilities Development of Watercare's Infrastructure Focused Strategies, collaboratively with Iwi/Manu whenua, Auckland Council, other elected officials, key stakeholders, the community and teams across Watercare, to ensure Auckland's current and future water services needs and expectations are achieved Driving the development and implementation of Watercare's infrastructure servicing strategies, ensuring that these are developed to achieve Watercare's Iwi/Manu Whenua, and our communities' objectives Leading Watercare's growth enablement focused approaches. Engaging with developers of complex developments to agree and implement water and wastewater servicing strategies to support their developments and the broader growth and development of Auckland Interacting and engaging with elected officials, iwi operational leaders, Watercare Executives to ensure strategic and functional alignments across organisations and connected entities Ensuring that we are efficient and effective in the delivery of Watercare's Resource Consenting processes. Ensuring that we are securing the necessary permits, consents and designations for our water and wastewater systems. Qualifications Extensive working in infrastructure and/or water and wastewater management Recent experience in a senior level strategic role. Professional qualifications including membership of related professional bodies. Evidence of strong people leadership skills. Excellent report writing, presentations and briefing skills, with the confidence and ability to present to the Executive Leadership Team, the Board, and Auckland Council.
