Our dedicated staff are passionate about quality teaching and learning and focused on continuous improvement. The successful candidate will have the ability to embed systems for NCEA success and work closely with college teachers on curriculum development. An essential requirement of this role is to provide the educational leadership necessary to ensure Horizon School's mission and its required teaching and learning outcomes are achieved in the senior school. Key tasks for the role of head of senior school will be: Leadership in the development of teaching and learning in the senior school Lead and co-ordinate staff in the development of senior school courses Lead and co-ordinate assessment Manage NZQA documentation related to policies and procedures Lead Head of Faculty meetings Manage subject choices, timetables, examinations, testimonials Responsibility for the senior school student leadership teams Responsible for senior school student pastoral care and behavioural management (discipline) Take responsibility for the cycle of reporting to parents.
