Based on the total number of independent living homes, care beds, and care suites, Metlifecare is one of the largest operators in New Zealand.As a new position in the business and reporting to the General Manager - Sales and Marketing, this pivotal role will be responsible for developing and delivering relevant market and pricing strategies through credible and informed data insights and market analysis. The primary objective is to drive improved and sustained group sales and marketing performance against targets. The position focuses on building a structured sales strategy, including master planning, pricing strategies, and proactive marketing, providing sound data and commercial insights into the real world.Key areas of responsibility and performance will include:Sales & Pricing Strategies: Price all newly available stock at the time of feasibility development and monitor and adjust to market conditions ensuring revenue meets/exceeds budget, consistent with market movement and in conjunction with the approved strategy.Sales and Marketing Performance & Growth: Review and track performance of sales plans in relation to individual, region, and portfolio results vs budget. Identify improvement opportunities, forecasting stock/sales pipeline, determining appropriate reporting metrics for smart sales and marketing decisions.Sales Leadership: Provide leadership to the Sales team in GM Sales and Marketing and/or Regional Sales Manager's absence. Provide input and guidance into the creation and development of sales capabilities across the group.About youWith significant experience in Sales and/or Commercial Insights Leadership, a relevant background from multi-site, multi-market residential development or retirement industry sales would be highly desirable. Strategic yet hands-on in your approach, you have managed and balanced multiple stakeholders and sales teams through strong interpersonal agility and highly effective communication. Your background and experience have been in leading sales teams to deliver/exceed against performance targets consistently. Coupled with this, you have an analytical bent and the ability and knowledge to take data to market and enable evidence-based decision-making in real-world situations.
