As part of this, rugby plays a significant role in the life of our students, and we are seeking an experienced, dynamic individual to take on the pivotal role of Head of Rugby, beginning in Term 1, 2025.Overall Responsibility:Collaborate with the Head of Sport and work closely with King's rugby coaches, managers, and the rugby community to enhance the College's rugby programme. Ensure King's College remains a leading rugby institution and to continue the reputation of having students be provided the best all round education.Key Responsibilities:Leadership & Coaching: Lead and inspire a high-performing coaching team. Develop and implement a comprehensive rugby skill development model from Years 9 through 13.Programme Management: Design and enforce a unified rugby plan with consistent themes and coaching language. Ensure coaches are well-resourced and supported within budget.Administration & Events: Manage all rugby-related administrative tasks including player registrations, results submissions, budgeting, and funding. Organise the King's Inter-House Rugby Championship and the annual Rugby Prizegiving.Community Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with parents, the rugby community, and other stakeholders. Coordinate logistics for fixtures and provide regular updates and reports.Talent Recruitment: Actively recruit top talent and experienced coaches to enhance the rugby programme.Expected Outcomes:A unified, long-term vision for rugby at King's College with ongoing evaluation and improvement.Strong, positive relationships with parents and the rugby community.Clear communication and understanding of expectations among coaches, players, and parents.Enhanced promotion of the College's reputation as a leading rugby institution.A strong culture of safety and support within all rugby teams.Efficient budget management and financial transparency.Qualifications and Experience Required:Proven leadership experience in rugby coaching and administration at a high level.Deep understanding of player development from junior to senior levels.Excellent communication, organisation, and team management skills.Commitment to the values of King's College and passion for fostering an all-round educational experience for students.Equal Opportunity Employer: King's College is an equal opportunity employer.
