From a wider lens you will collaborate across the business where you will develop and execute risk and compliance strategies. This role will be a cornerstone of a Risk and Compliance uplift. You will be responsible for creating a vision for best practice and then a pathway to achieve this goal. This will require thought leadership and a people centered approach. You will develop a strategy and then implement it. Two notable upcoming priorities/projects include the Contracts for Insurance Act and Climate Reporting Disclosures (among others).Your key responsibilities will include:Engaging with the business to provide thought leadership, framework design, advice and support.Designing and implementing a risk management function that is customised, integrated and proportionate.You will be a subject matter expert for projects which involve regulatory change.You will be involved in Risk and Compliance Governance Forums.Key will be your ability to drive collaboration, champion Risk and Compliance and knit together functions.You will manage a Regulatory Delivery Lead and Risk Analyst.Requirements:To be a successful applicant for this role you will need 12+ years' experience in a Risk and Compliance position within the Financial Services sector. In addition, you will need to demonstrate commercial awareness and the ability to present, persuade and negotiate.Additional requirements are:Thorough knowledge of the New Zealand, financial services, legal and regulatory environment.Effective influencing skills with the credibility to present effectively to a range of internal and external audiences and to lead and implement evolving practices.Being committed to an open and trusting workplace, prioritising relationship building, supporting colleagues, providing encouragement, and taking responsibility for sharing.Why this Position:This is a fantastic opportunity to be working for an impressive, high performing team.
