The opportunity: As a strategic leader with a deep understanding of health and life insurance, you'll take on a pivotal role as Head of Propositions, leading the development and management of our pricing philosophy and strategy.
This position is crucial in driving innovation, product development, and our pricing strategies with a strong focus on meeting customer needs and balancing shareholder value. As a key member of our leadership team, you'll have the opportunity to influence major business decisions and shape the future of our product offerings.
Key responsibilities include: Leading the development and management of long-term pricing strategiesInnovating new product designs, integrating Vitality shared value products, and enhancing ongoing Vitality innovationsOverseeing the preparation and review of premium rates, ensuring profitability while delivering customer valueDriving product development, ensuring our offerings meet customer needs and achieve business objectivesLeading the analysis and strategic response to competitor activitiesManaging and coaching the Pricing team, fostering a culture of productivity and efficiencyProviding expert financial and risk advice to support new product launches and ongoing product managementMonitoring actuarial experience and ensuring the integrity of pricing models.Ideally, you'll bring: Qualified Actuary with 5+ years post-qualification experienceA deep understanding of health and life insurance pricing, paired with strong analytical skillsExpertise in shared value propositions and the application of behavioural scienceA track record of successful product development and innovation, with an eye for detail and a creative approach to problem-solvingProficiency in pricing model infrastructure and technology, combined with the ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiencesExceptional leadership skills, with a talent for inspiring and guiding teams toward achieving their goalsA collaborative mindset, with the ability to build strong relationships across departments and influence key stakeholdersStrong decision-making abilities, with a proactive approach to challenges and a focus on driving resultsAn innovative and forward-thinking attitude, adaptable to change and eager to embrace new opportunitiesThe ability to effectively communicate the bigger picture, ensuring alignment across all levels of the organisation.This is an exciting opportunity to lead a critical function within our organisation, driving innovation from the customer's perspective and ensuring our products remain at the forefront of the industry.
