Lead the Impact Strategy and Initiatives across CCHL and its 8 SubsidiariesOwn the Sustainability Vision for CCHLCompetitive Remuneration PackageAbout The Role: As a key member of the senior management team, reporting to the Board Subcommittee and the newly appointed CEO, the Head of Impact is a critical role to lead the Impact Strategy and Programme across the Group. CCHL's value creation is focused around four capitals: Financial, Intellectual, Social, and Natural. Existing initiatives include work programmes across Sustainability, Diversity, Equity, Leadership, Culture (He Huanuiprogramme), and Collaboration. With such a broad range of objectives, you will facilitate external specialists who provide support for the delivery of each programme, together with sector experts within each subsidiary company.
Responsibilities include: Develop the strategy & programme, focused on improving non-financial outcomes across the Group;Chair the Sustainability Working Group across the Subsidiaries;Prepare CCHL's annual Climate-Related Disclosures & Group emissions reduction plan;Develop and lead initiatives related to Social Responsibility;Work collaboratively to develop relationships with Christchurch City Council and CCHL Subsidiaries to understand the Group challenges & opportunities, developing alignment of Group objectives to drive a stronger Impact focus across the CCHL Group.Skills & Experience: Candidates of interest will be senior professionals skilled in providing advice to governance and executive management on ESG and related sustainability matters. You will be experienced in the delivery of projects and programme management across complex environments and will understand evolving trends in ESG (not necessarily be an expert). Strong leadership, influencing, and collaboration skills are a prerequisite, along with proven relationship management skills, as the role involves interaction with senior internal and external stakeholders.
You will also:
Be a strategic thinker with the capability to develop and communicate long-term strategies aligned with CCC's and CCHL's strategic objectives and priorities;Point to a track record of exceptional stakeholder engagement and the ability to influence, enroll, and align Senior Leaders to strategic direction;Have excellent analytical skills with the intellectual ability to assess complex legal, policy, and procedural documents and issues, and make recommendations for action;Have expertise in the design and implementation of organisational monitoring and evaluation approaches;Ideally have some experience with board and organisational reporting requirements.About the Company: CCHL's core role is to manage Christchurch City Council's (Council) ownership interest in the key economic infrastructure assets that form part of the CCHL Group.
