This influential position leads the strategic direction of our Football programme, focusing on development, inclusivity, and excellence at every level from junior teams through to our 1st XI.The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering an inspiring and cohesive programme that nurtures both individual skill and team performance, ensuring a quality Football experience for all students.Key Responsibilities:Player & Coach Development: Create and implement a structured coaching pathway to foster skill and technical development across all teams. Establish a playing style that aligns with King's College ethos and resonates with our students' strengths, ensuring consistent progress from junior levels through to our senior teams.Coach the Coaches: Develop a "Coach the Coaches" programme, offering resources and ongoing support for all coaches involved in Football. Empower coaches to deliver high-quality sessions through access to training, tools such as video analysis and GPS tracking, and other innovative resources.Programme & Event Management: Oversee all Football operations, including trials, team selection, and match preparations. Coordinate schedules, training times, and facilities to ensure a well-organized, equitable programme that maximizes participation. Lead in planning major events, including inter-house competitions, prize-givings, and overseas tours or traditional exchanges.Community Engagement & Development: Increase the profile of Football at King's College by organizing player clinics, mentorship for team captains, and leadership training. Actively engage with local clubs to develop partnerships that extend player opportunities and showcase talent.Ideal Candidate Profile:Technical Expertise: In-depth Football knowledge and advanced coaching qualifications, ideally with experience using Hudl/VX software or similar coaching technology. Able to guide coaches and players with clarity and precision.Strong Leadership & Communication Skills: Proven ability to inspire and develop teams, communicate effectively across diverse groups, and foster positive relationships with students, staff, and the wider community.Administration Proficiency: Exceptional organizational skills with a track record of successfully managing team logistics, budgets, schedules, and reporting requirements.Commitment to Sportsmanship: Models the College Sport Fair Play code and demonstrates exemplary sportsmanship, fostering a respectful and inclusive environment for all participants.Requirements: Applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand and will be subject to vetting under the Vulnerable Children Act.Equal Opportunity Employer: King's College is an equal opportunity employer.
