If you're passionate about creating a safer financial environment and looking to lead a team, this role could be your next big move.About the RoleIn this role, you'll be at the forefront of financial crime strategy, protecting the bank and its customers from fraud, money laundering, anti-corruption, anti-bribery and other financial risks. You'll be leading the Financial Crime team, ensuring that the bank not only complies with all local regulations but also stays ahead of emerging threats in this space. Act as the AML/CFT Compliance Officer. You'll be working with senior leaders across the bank, as well as external regulators to develop and implement effective strategies to minimise risk.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and mentor a high-performing Financial Crime team.Develop, implement, and refine the bank's financial crime prevention strategies.Manage operational costs within agreed budgets and targets.Ensure compliance with New Zealand's regulatory frameworks and industry best practices.Conduct risk assessments and make recommendations for improvements, providing assurance, where required, to the Chief Risk Officer.Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including regulators and law enforcement agencies.What We're Looking ForI'm seeking someone with a proven track record in financial crime, compliance, or risk management. Strong leadership and communication skills are key for this role, as you'll be guiding a team and working closely with a wide range of stakeholders across the business.
