Kaipara College is seeking a passionate and positive head of faculty Maori studies, full-time permanent.
The successful applicant will be proficient in te reo Maori and confident with upholding tikanga Maori.
In addition to working collaboratively with Maori Faculty staff and students, the ideal candidate will proactively seek ways to grow student numbers in the Maori Faculty and attract students to kaupapa Maori.
In 2025 a new, purpose-built Whare Ako will open, providing enhanced facilities to support our Maori studies programmes.
Kaipara College is based in the semi-rural community of Helensville, 35 minutes north of Auckland CBD.
We recognise the mana whenua of our area, Ngati Whatua o Kaipara.
We are eager to grow our Maori Studies Faculty, especially with the addition and development of NCEA standards that will impact this area of learning.
