We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a head of faculty — arts starting January 2025.
KingsWay is a high achieving, state integrated Christian area school catering for Y1-13 students. Our staff are supportive and collaborative, and our work is inspired by love/aroha, heartened by faith/whakapono in Jesus Christ, and motivated by gospel hope/tumanako.
This role is responsible to:
Effectively engage with and teach a range of the arts subjects to students in Y10–13
Successfully lead, mentor, and influence team members
Ensure whole school assessment, reporting, and moderation practices are adhered to
Contribute to strategic HOF and senior school meetings
Lead events/activities that support the Arts curriculum and school-wide special character
The successful applicant will:
Possess a high degree of pedagogical knowledge and experience in the Arts curriculum (NCEA Level 2-3)
Have a proven ability to relate well and be culturally responsive
Be innovative and digitally proficient
Be motivated, organised, and student-centred
Be capable of developing sustainable systems of departmental evaluation and improvement
Champion the language, vision, and values of KingsWay School
