Head of Department - Housekeeping, of a 108 room hotel, operating at a high occupancy all year round, located in Twizel, nestled in the heart of New Zealand's South Island, Twizel is a picturesque town that serves as a gateway to the breathtaking landscapes of the Mackenzie District such as Mount Cook and Lake Tekapo.Qualifications & experienceProven experience as a Housekeeping Manager or in a similar supervisory role within the hospitality industryProficient in Microsoft Office and the use of rooms management software systemsTasks & responsibilitiesManage and supervise all housekeeping staff, operations and procedures to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are met across all rooms, public areas and facilitiesCreate and communicate department rosters according to hotel room occupancy, and in adherence to weekly wage budgetDevelop, implement and maintain housekeeping policies and procedures for both operations and OHS complianceOversee inventory management for cleaning supplies, equipment and outsourced linenCollaborate with other departments, such as front office and maintenance, to ensure effective communication and guest satisfaction and seamless guest experience between departmentsDevelop and maintain positive working relationships with our key stakeholders and suppliers
