An exciting opportunity for a high performing hotel supervisor or an experienced Housekeeping Manager to join the Head of Department leadership team at Distinction Mackenzie Country Hotel, the latest property acquisition in the portfolio of Distinction Hotels. Head of Department - Housekeeping, of a 108 room hotel, operating at a high occupancy all year round, located in Twizel, nestled in the heart of New Zealand's South Island, Twizel is a picturesque town that serves as a gateway to the breathtaking landscapes of the Mackenzie District such as Mount Cook and Lake Tekapo.
Qualifications & experience
Proven experience as a Housekeeping Manager or in a similar supervisory role within the hospitality industry
Proficient in Microsoft Office and the use of rooms management software systems
Tasks & responsibilities
Manage and supervise all housekeeping staff, operations and procedures to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are met across all rooms, public areas and facilities
Create and communicate department rosters according to hotel room occupancy, and in adherence to weekly wage budget
Develop, implement and maintain housekeeping policies and procedures for both operations and OHS compliance
Oversee inventory management for cleaning supplies, equipment and outsourced linen
Collaborate with other departments, such as front office and maintenance, to ensure effective communication and guest satisfaction and seamless guest experience between departments
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with our key stakeholders and suppliers
