We are seeking an exceptional Head of BBQ Chef to lead our culinary team at BLUE OX BABE in Pukekohe, just 45 minutes south of Auckland CBD.About the RoleDevelop and implement creative, high-quality menu items showcasing expertise in Hospitality & Tourism, specifically Chefs/Cooks.Manage and mentor the kitchen team to ensure efficient, consistent, and exceptional food preparation and presentation.Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards (FCP plan through CHOMP).Oversee inventory management and control food costs.Collaborate with the management team to drive continuous improvement and innovation.Foster a positive, productive, and collaborative work environment in the kitchen.RequirementsNZ resident/PR applications only.Minimum 2 years of experience as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role within the Hospitality & Tourism industry; Low n Slow experience is advantageous.Proven track record of developing and executing successful menus that delight customers.Exceptional culinary skills and an in-depth understanding of Chefs/Cooks best practices.Strong leadership abilities and the capacity to motivate and develop a high-performing team.Excellent time management, problem-solving, and multi-tasking skills.Relevant qualifications or certifications in Hospitality or Culinary Arts.About UsBLUE OX BABE is a beautifully designed and built bar and restaurant in the heart of Pukekohe, Auckland, renowned for its exceptional Hospitality offerings and commitment to using the freshest, locally-sourced ingredients.What We OfferDream hours of 8:30am to 5pm.Daily staff meal and 50% discount for you and immediate family.Fully open plan kitchen with strong customer and outside engagement.A supportive, collaborative, and fun team culture.Estimated salary: $80,000 - $100,000 per annum.
