We are seeking an exceptional Head of BBQ Chef to join our team at BLUE OX BABE in Pukekohe (45mins South of Auckland CBD). As our Head of BBQ, you will be responsible for leading our culinary team and overseeing all aspects of the BBQ operations. This is a full-time role with competitive remuneration and excellent benefits.What you'll be doingDeveloping and implementing creative, high-quality menu items that showcase your expertise in Hospitality & Tourism, specifically Chefs/Cooks.Managing and mentoring the kitchen team to ensure efficient, consistent, and exceptional food preparation and presentation.Maintaining strict food safety and hygiene standards (FCP plan through CHOMP).Overseeing inventory management and controlling food costs.Collaborating with the management team to drive continuous improvement and innovation.Fostering a positive, productive, and collaborative work environment in the kitchen.What we're looking forNZ resident/ PR applications only.Minimum 2 years of experience as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role within the Hospitality & Tourism industry; Low n Slow experience would be an advantage.Proven track record of developing and executing successful menus that delight customers.Exceptional culinary skills and an in-depth understanding of Chefs/Cooks best practices.Strong leadership abilities and the capacity to motivate and develop a high-performing team.Excellent time management, problem-solving, and multi-tasking skills.Relevant qualifications or certifications in Hospitality or Culinary Arts.What we offerAt BLUE OX BABE, we are committed to providing our employees with a rewarding and fulfilling work environment.
