We are seeking a culinary leader ready to take the reins at the vibrant and busy kitchen at Christchurch Adventure Park. This is an exciting opportunity to create delicious, seasonal menus and deliver exceptional food offerings to our large and loyal customer base.
Main Responsibilities: As the Head Chef, you will:
Lead Kitchen Operations: Ensure food is prepared and served to the highest standards, on time, and in a hygienic manner. Menu Development: Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Retail Manager to design seasonal menus that satisfy our loyal customer base. Stock Control: Oversee inventory management, ensuring that high-quality ingredients are always available and properly stored. People Leadership: Inspire and train a diverse kitchen team, fostering a collaborative environment and effective communication with front-of-house staff. Health & Safety Compliance: Maintain a safe and clean kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.What We're Looking For: Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role, with strong leadership and time management skills. A passion for food and creativity in menu design. Ability to manage inventory and control costs effectively. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Fourteen elected student representatives govern the UCSA with the support and guidance of external advisors via an Advisory Board.
