We have a full-time permanent position available, working 80 hours a fortnight (1.0FTE), within our surgical ward which has a strong Orthopaedic, Gynaecology and Otolaryngology focus in an acute and elective environment.
You will be working across AM, PM shifts rostered Monday to Sunday as follows:
AM: 7.00AM to 3.30PMPM: 2.45PM to 11.15PMMidshift: 11.00AM to 7.30PMNight: 10.45PM to 7.15AMWe practice in a collaborative patient partnership model of care to achieve best outcomes for our patients/families and whanau. As a Health Care Assistant, you will be part of our dedicated nursing environment with full support. Your role is to work within the team to assist nursing staff in care delivery, one-to-one patient watches and other tasks as directed.

They will also have the ability to work in a flexible and methodical manner, demonstrate honesty and reliability, and use appropriate initiative.
Experience within the health sector is preferred, but is not essential as full training will be provided.
Qualifications Year 11 NCEA level 1 English (or equivalent)Year 11 NCEA level 1 Maths (or equivalent)Mandatory requirement *NZQA Level 3: New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing - Health Assistance Strand, if not previously obtained, is to be commenced once orientations have been attended.
