Are you passionate about Aquaculture, sustainability, and nurturing life from the very beginning? We're seeking a dynamic Hatchery and Breeding Manager to lead our Takaka hatchery operations.

Overview of the Role
Reporting to the Production Manager – Aquaculture, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily site activities and ensuring seamless livestock operations. In this role, you'll also manage the coordination of our company's breeding programme, working closely with NZKS's contracted genetic support services and key team members to deliver positive breeding outcomes.

Experience & Qualifications
Your leadership skills will be essential. You'll lead our team with confidence, motivating and empowering them to reach new heights of excellence. As such, your communication skills, both written and verbal, will be strong.
You will have strong operational experience ideally in Aquaculture and even better in livestock husbandry. Additionally, experience with or understanding of operating recirculating or land-based aquaculture systems would be beneficial. You'll be calm under pressure and have the ability to problem solve and make effective decisions with ease.
Benefits of Working for Us:
Hours of work: Monday to Friday, guaranteed 40 hours minimum per week. However, there may be some flexibility in start and finish times.
Employment Type: Permanent, Full Time
Salary: $125,000 - $150,000 (dependent on experience)
Benefits: 4 weeks annual leave & Southern Cross Medical Insurance
