Te Pae Hauora o Ruahine o Tararua MidCentral (MidCentral) is part of Te Whatu Ora, Health New Zealand and provides healthcare services to over 180,000 people across the Manawatu, Horowhenua and Tararua regions.

With a large hospital campus in Palmerston North, it also provides key health care and support services to neighbouring communities.

Position Overview Looking for an opportunity to progress your training as a Haematology Registrar? MidCentral District is located in Palmerston North City and could be the perfect place for you! MidCentral Districts provides a regional tertiary Cancer Treatment Service providing Haematology, Medical Oncology and Radiation Oncology to the populations of Taranaki, Whanganui, Hawkes Bay and MidCentral districts.

Responsibilities Participate in local outpatient clinics as one of three registrars. Share attendance at regional clinics. Engage in pathology work in the laboratory adjacent to the clinic area. Provide care in the inpatient ward in conjunction with Haematologists and a House Officer. On-Call Schedule The week day on-call roster is 1600 - 2300. Weekends are 0800 - 2300 with a call frequency of 1 in 10.
