About the role:
As the People and Safety Advisor, you'll be tasked with overseeing HR and H&S for the Te Kuiti site. Working closely with HR and Health and Safety Managers, you'll play a pivotal role in driving HR initiatives and championing health and safety practices across the organisation.

Some of your main duties will include: Advise managers on HR policies, procedures, and employment relations issues.Facilitate performance management processes, helping to identify development and training needs.Develop and implement HR policies and initiatives that promote employee engagement and retention.Develop, implement, and maintain H&S policies, procedures, and risk assessments.Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and compliance checks to ensure a safe work environment.Manage incident investigations and implement corrective actions as necessary.Coordinate and deliver H&S training and inductions for all staff.Promote a proactive health and safety culture and provide guidance on best practices. About you:
Our ideal candidate would be an experienced HR/H&S advisor who has experience working across both HR and Health and Safety. A comprehensive understanding of health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices, with a proven track record of implementing H&S programs and policies effectively will be a must-have for this role.

As you'll be working with people throughout all levels of the organisation, having excellent communication skills, great problem-solving skills, and being a great team player will be the key to your success in this role. Experience in manufacturing or a similar industrial environment would be preferred along with a qualification in HR/H&S.
