About The Role - Te Mahi We are a leading Auckland hospitality group with a beautiful hotel within Auckland CBD. With bookings climbing and our Hotel getting busier, it is time to find talented Guest Service Agents for our 186 room Sudima Auckland City Hotel. If you are passionate about service and have a smile to match, we are seeking a Part-time Guest Services Agent. We are looking for an enthusiastic applicant who understands the meaning of great guest service, teamwork and attention to detail. A team player who enjoys the hospitality industry and wants to further their career. This role covers different shifts during the week, weekends and public holidays. You will need to be flexible to work all rostered days. This role requires you to do porter duties from time to time and assisting in other areas of the hotel as needed. You must have a full New Zealand Drivers licence. The primary objective of this role is to check guests in and out in a timely manner and amaze guests with outstanding customer service. On a daily basis, the successful candidate will: Responsibilities | Nga Smooth and accurate check in and out process Ensuring our guests are provided with exceptional 4.5 star service - a WOW factor where the personal touch makes us stand out Answer phone calls and ensure guest requests are actioned and followed up with relevant departments Attend ongoing training Communicate professionally with other hotel departments Maintaining the reception area Advising on and arranging reservations and accommodation Record all luggage stored in an orderly manner Always keep the luggage storeroom tidy and accessible Must be updated on the knowledge of all room categories and amenities Ensure communication meetings are attended Fix small maintenance issues in the rooms Assist with valet parking and keeping a clear record of cars Must be responsible and careful when parking guest vehicles Ensure guest messages, dry cleaning are delivered in a timely manner Guest luggage is stored in a secure area and placed in order Assist other departments in the successful operation of the business with a key focus on: guest service, guest relations and yield management Regularly inspect the lobby and public area to ensure that the standards of the Hotel are maintained and comfortable for guests, clients as well as employees Ensure Health and Safety standards are being met and reported as per policy Requirements Confident, well motivated, enthusiastic and determined Ability to multi-task, show flexibility and meet deadlines, calmly working under pressure Strong communication skills - both written and verbal Takes pride in work and has exceptional attention to detail Excellent time management abilities Have a thorough knowledge of the area including local amenities Approachable and flexible & a team player Committed to continuing professional development Flexibility to work outside normal hours as required.
