As a trusted adviser and business partner, your focus will be on designing and implementing people strategies and solutions that align with our values and objectives, foster a positive and inclusive work culture, and build the capability and culture required to continue to drive success and transform the organisation to meet its strategic plans and objectives. You will add value by driving real organisational change, continuous improvement and performance improvements in an increasingly changing healthcare sector. Your focus will be on initiatives that empower our workforce, enhance engagement and promote employee wellbeing.
What we are looking for: An experienced commercially minded HR/OD business partner and leader who will be an effective contributor as part of Pathlab's leadership team. In this pivotal role, you will work closely with our CEO to shape our organisational culture and ensure we attract, develop and retain top talent. You will bring proven experience coaching, training and developing managers enabling them to apply best practice people management policies, processes and frameworks. A high level of technical skills in remuneration, performance management, change management, learning & development, organisational design, talent & capability, and evolving culture and brand will be a given.
What you will bring: Ideally you will:
Be an experienced senior HR or OD professional (10-15 yrs) with track record of providing sound advice to CEO and at senior executive level. Have a strong Organisation Development (OD) orientation in your thinking and be skilled in assisting an organisation bring vision to life through practical implementation. Have previous experience supporting an organisation transform itself with competencies in capability building, innovation and performance. Be creative with a track record of introducing different people and culture perspectives and solutions to organisations, with a view to simplicity, effectiveness and best practice. Be able to challenge mental models in a positive and constructive way, to drive change and new thinking. Readily build credibility and be highly skilled at relationship building, influencing and coaching people. Be able to provide practical advice on key HR, IR, talent and performance issues. Good knowledge of NZ employment law. Have operated in a matrix organisation structure, is comfortable with ambiguity and who can build effective relationships across business units, functions and different locations. Healthcare experience would be advantageous so you can hit the ground running but is not essential. You will be available and happy to travel throughout NZ and in addition, you must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
