This new and challenging position based in Auckland will appeal to experienced business and education leaders wanting to lead a newly formed company's operations for Champagnat Marist Education Ltd, CMEL.
CMEL is part of a new Marist group strategy to develop and enhance the Catholic Special Champagnat character of Marist education organisations, focusing on the Marist Education philosophy and leading property and financial directions for a $100 million asset base of schools and related properties, including Sacred Heart College, Marcellin College, and St Paul's College. The future education mission will continue to support Catholic families with education for their children, nurturing in them a love for Jesus Christ and preparing them to take their part in the world.
Key Responsibilities
Lead CMEL's operations and help develop and implement the strategic and business plans.
Model a supportive and positive culture in stakeholder relationships by collaborating with Marist boards, leadership educators, and various stakeholders in Marist schools and related ministries.
Develop overall strategic education plans in line with the Catholic Special Champagnat Marist character.
Manage planning and financial management of the Marist Brothers' property assets.
Qualifications and Experience
This position calls for executive-level experience managing a small team and strategic projects with high-level relationships, strong financial and reporting acumen, and experience in multi-site property operations management. Ideal qualifications include:
High-level stakeholder relationship management at School Board or Principal levels.
HR, HS, board reporting, Charitable Trust, and compliance management.
Finance, Property, and Administration management.
A tertiary degree in education, business, or related fields.
Advanced MS suite capability, organizational and time management skills, and advanced presentation skills (written and verbal) are essential. Important values sought will include trust, integrity, strong empathy, the ability to handle sensitive affairs and confidentiality, respect for Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles, and alignment with Catholic teachings and Saint Marcellin's education mission "to educate young people so they develop a personal faith and become good Christians and virtuous citizens."
Position Details
This full-time position is based in the company's Ellerslie offices. An attractive remuneration package and onsite parking for a senior executive are available for the right person. Panel interviews are scheduled for late November.
