Group Fitness Coordinator

Seeking applications for a motivated professional who can provide effective leadership and direction to our Group Exercise Instructors, who play an important role in ensuring our members have the best experience possible using our facilities.
This position is based in the Recreation Centre, which supports health and well-being, fitness, sport and sport clubs, conferencing and student association services to students, staff and community members.
Key tasks of the role include:
Lead group exercise team, ensuring all instructors meet certifications and training standards.
Recruit, train, manage certification of instructors, provide feedback, and monitor class quality.
Handle admin: reports, invoices, contractor setup, equipment care, and records management.
Market classes, track attendance, adjust schedules, and manage group exercise timetables.
Address member feedback, track suggestions, and communicate updates to instructors.
Use attendance to guide training and class adjustments; survey members and instructors as needed.
This is a permanent part-time role, working 10 - 15 hours per week average (approx. 0.27 - 0.4 FTE) based at our Lincoln Campus. Hours are flexible during Monday - Friday. The salary range set at circa $65,000 per annum, pro rata to part-time hours ($33+/hr).
To be successful in this role you will need:
Two years or more experience as an instructor (preferred)
Experience in coordination and operational management of people and resources.
Experience in scheduling of rosters and timetables.
Proven ability to deliver training.
Contractor management experience would be desirable.
Understanding the dynamics of group exercise.
Demonstrated commitment to Manaakitaka and Lincoln University values.
