Group Financial Controller

Tinline Property is a well-established, family-operated company based in Nelson, with a presence across New Zealand. We specialise in the development, ownership and management of a diverse portfolio of commercial properties, including Richmond Mall in Nelson and Papamoa Plaza in Tauranga. As we continue to expand, our growth strategy is focused on strengthening and diversifying our portfolio through an ambitious development pipeline.

We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Group Financial Controller to lead our financial strategy, operations and systems development. Reporting directly to the CEO, this pivotal position will oversee all financial and compliance activities across our group of companies.

In this role, you will lead a small, dedicated team, managing budgeting, financial strategy and reporting processes. Your ability to think strategically and execute tactically will be critical as you provide high-level financial analysis and insights to support business growth and inform decision-making at CEO and board levels. You will also be responsible for implementing and maintaining robust financial systems and controls while driving continuous improvement across all financial processes.

We are looking for an ambitious and suitably qualified individual with a deep and broad skillset in finance, commerce and analytics. You will have a proven track record in financial leadership, team management and financial systems implementation, with experience in the property sector or debt-funded businesses being highly desirable. You will bring a high level of energy, a proactive and action-oriented approach, strong relationship-building abilities and exceptional emotional intelligence.
