Group Financial Controller

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our Finance Team based at our head office site in Te Puke.Te Puke is experiencing significant growth due to our "thriving" kiwifruit industry. It's also in a great location within an easy driving distance from both Papamoa, Mount Maunganui and Tauranga. If you're up for the challenge – then we want to hear from you!Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will lead the Finance Team to deliver EastPack's financial management and KPI reporting and variance analysis as well as managing finance systems and processes to meet our statutory obligations. You will also support development and drive the adoption of new projects and innovations within the Finance Team and wider business.You will need to have:Excellent leadership and people management skills and experience.A strong understanding of accounting principles applied in the preparation and analysis of management and financial reports.A high level of competency in Microsoft Excel (advanced level).Experience and a good understanding of the use of KPI's to drive business improvement.Excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills.A sound ability to work effectively with operational divisions to identify areas for business improvement and to drive change to really add value.A business degree with 8+ years financial accounting experience.Business improvement experience in a multi-site company or group.It is desirable that applicants hold a professional membership with the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants (or similar professional organisation).Applications will need to include a detailed cover letter and CV.
