Objective
Reporting to the Financial Controller and collaborating with the wider Finance Team, we're looking for someone who is passionate about external reporting, including ASX financial reporting as well as New Zealand and Australian tax and regulatory group reporting. Help us effectively communicate our progress to the market, regulators and revenue authorities.
What you can expect
Work on strategic projects, where your expertise will have a direct impact on the future performance of the business.
Prepare and publish IFRS and ASX compliant audited interim and annual public financial reports.
You will have the chance to work on diverse tasks, making the job interesting and challenging, and enabling continuous skill development.
New Zealand and Australian income tax calculation and preparation, and technical review of indirect taxes and their reporting.
Tax planning and policy development across the New Zealand and Australia Group, including transfer pricing.
Progress the ongoing development of sustainability reporting.
Ensure correct execution of accounting, transfer pricing and tax policies.
Prepare external reporting under applicable regulations to RBNZ, Statistics NZ, ASIC, Australian Bureau of Statistics, APRA and others.
Monitor and test performance of internal controls.
Preferred experience and knowledge
Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills.
A passion for fintech and a desire to make a real impact on our users' financial lives.
Experience in the preparation of financial statements and tax returns.
Passion for GAAP, tax and sustainability reporting.
Ability to research and keep up to date with financial reporting and tax developments relevant to the business.
Effectively communicate and collaborate with different audiences and stakeholders.
