Group Accountant – Property Development & Investment

We are searching for an accountant, specifically with strong New Zealand experience in commercial property development and commercial construction, to join a highly successful and progressive company, as their GROUP ACCOUNTANT.
The company has a long and successful track record, and is based on the North Shore.
The Group consists of five entities supporting all facets of the commercial property development.
The entities include development, design and consultancy, construction, machine and equipment hire and property management and leasing.
In this senior role, you will be reporting directly to the CEO, and you will be providing reporting and advice to the Executive Leadership team and various Directors, along with other accounting duties.
Key tasks and responsibilities: Overall responsibility for the group finance function of the above operating businessesWorking with Development Managers to manage project cashflows Understanding commercial property development Construction company control of the monthly accounting functions, reporting and forecasting Investment financing and reporting with an oversight of a commercial property portfolio with the property manager  Providing support on capital raising for new and existing/staged projectsCompliance including GST, PAYE, FBTOther Management accounting tasks including payrollYou will be working closely with key members of staff – especially with Quantity Surveyors, Development Managers and Project Managers.
You will also be working closely with external advisors.
The company does not require a finance team per se, as most functions are carried out at a project level.
Key attributes we are seeking include: Strong experience in New Zealand property or related sector including development or constructionExperienced in understanding project feasibilities and financing arrangements  Experience in commercial property financing / re-financing Experience in capital raisingStrong communication skills – both verbal and writtenWell-developed negotiation skillsCA qualification (preferred)If you are looking for a great career with a great company APPLY without delay.
