The Role
As the Group Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the financial consolidation and reporting for company operations. Your key responsibilities will include:
Overseeing the preparation and consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual IFRS reports
Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements across ANZ
Coordinating with local finance teams to gather and analyse financial data, ensuring accuracy and consistency
Implementing and maintaining robust financial controls and procedures across the group
Assisting in the development of financial budgets and forecasts, providing insights to support strategic planning
Identifying opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within financial operations
Collaborating with external auditors and managing audit processes to ensure smooth and timely completion
Your Profile
Hold full, unrestricted working rights for New Zealand
CA, CPA or similar qualified from a top tier public practice firm, along with some experience either on secondment or in a commercial organisation
Significant experience in accounting, with expertise in financial consolidation and reporting across multiple jurisdictions
Proficiency in accounting standards and regulatory requirements relevant to New Zealand and Australia
Demonstrated ability to manage and analyse complex financial data in Excel, ensuring accuracy and consistency
Strong organizational skills and the ability to streamline financial processes and controls
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams across different regions
