Grocery Manager

Full time We are seeking a person who can manage our Grocery Department.
This is a full-time vacancy with weekend and evening work.
We envisage the successful candidate will also be Duty Manager for the store on some evenings!
You will be a part of an enthusiastic and motivated team.

The successful applicant will need to have knowledge and experience of FMCG and the grocery industry, having worked in a supermarket environment in management roles and able to demonstrate the following attributes: Effectively communicate at all levels Be a problem solver Dedication to customer service Good computer skills – ability to pick up programs with ease Knowledge of SAP Passionate about a career in the Grocery Industry In this role you will be directly reporting to the Dry Goods Manager and Owner.
Key responsibilities include: Management and delegation of staff Managing the daily ordering of stock using SAP system Negotiating promotional activity Ability to achieve targets and meet profitability budgets Maintaining a high standard of merchandising Maintaining our Health & Safety and Food Safety standards Lincoln is a small rural university town approximately 20 minutes from the centre of Christchurch.
