With a brand-new store and impressive offerings across butchery, seafood, bakery, deli, produce, grocery, and liquor, we can't wait to open our doors to the East Auckland community!We're currently seeking an experienced Grocery Manager to join the team. As a department manager, you'll play an integral part in our journey towards a successful store opening and continuously deliver an exceptional shopping experience for our community.The RoleHave full ownership of the smooth day-to-day running of our grocery department.Lead the grocery team in maintaining the highest standards for the store.Oversee stock rotation practices to ensure freshness and reduce waste.Assist customers with product inquiries to enhance their shopping experience.Collaborate across departments to support the overall success of the store.Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, providing guidance and support for professional growth within the grocery department.Deliver on financial performance targets including budgets, wage percentages, and sales forecasting.Always maintain Health & Safety and Food Safety standards.What's in it for you?If successful, you will join a business that prides itself on being 100% New Zealand owned and operated, become a part of a great community, and be a part of Highland Park's success from day 1!What we're looking forAn experienced operational retailer who has career aspirations to go further.Previous supermarket experience – ideally in grocery.Proven leadership capability to lead and inspire a large team.LCQ and Managers certifications desirable - (experience selling alcohol is advantageous).
