Mo te tunga | About the role
We are looking for a talented and experienced graphic designer to join our dynamic team on a one-year fixed term contract. As one of three graphic designers in our team, you will play a crucial role in developing and designing a wide range of marketing collateral for our council. Your role will also include supporting your colleagues in mastering Adobe InDesign and Illustrator.
This is a 12 month fixed-term position offering a competitive salary and benefits like flexible working and an active social club. You will be working in a supportive and collaborative environment with a team of talented professionals.
Some of your key responsibilities may include:
Creating visually appealing and engaging marketing materials for digital and print applications
Collaborating with our communications and marketing team to develop creative concepts and ensure consistency across all marketing channels
Utilising Adobe InDesign and other relevant design software to produce high-quality graphics
Staying up-to-date with the latest design trends and industry best practices
Working effectively in a fast-paced environment and contribute to a positive team culture

We like to set people up for success so you'll be a leading applicant if you have:
Bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field
Proven experience in graphic design, with a strong portfolio of work
Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and/or Illustrator
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

The starting remuneration range for this role is $61,073 - $82,628 per annum (including KiwiSaver) for an appropriately experienced and/or qualified individual.
