Position Overview AWN is expanding its Environmental Team and is currently seeking a Graduate Environmental Consultant . The successful candidate will join our dynamic team based in Dublin, collaborating on challenging and exciting projects spanning various sectors, including life sciences, IT and high technology, large-scale residential developments (LDR), and commercial developments. The Environmental Team based in Dublin, includes a diverse group including environmental consultants, geologists, hydrogeologists, chemists, and environmental scientists.
The successful candidate will assist our multidisciplinary team to scope and deliver projects in line with client requirements. Candidates should have good people skills, be driven, and also work well in a team environment. A balance of technical, communication/written and field skills is sought to flexibly contribute to a variety of different projects.
Main Duties and Responsibilities As a Graduate Environmental Consultant, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
· Assisting with hydrological and hydrogeological assessments as part of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Reports
· Contributing to the creation of technical reports, including hydrological impact assessment, flood risk assessment, water framework directive screening assessments.
· Contributing to technical report writing, including the preparation of EIA scoping and screening reports, Human Health Impact Assessments, and waste management plans.
· Supporting the team by providing assistance to senior staff and sub-consultants, ensuring project objectives are achieved efficiently.
· Assisting in the development and drafting of proposals to meet the needs of clients.
· Candidates should expect a mix of site work, performing field studies with a focus on hydrological and hydrogeological monitoring, and construction environmental management.
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience: · Minimum BSc or BA (Hons) degree in environmental science or related discipline.
· Prior experience beneficial but not essential
· Self-motivated, organised and capable of working on their own initiative.Excellent communication skills
· Proficient with Microsoft Office, Geographical Information Systems, etc
· Full Clean Driving Licence
