THE OPPORTUNITY
Stratco is seeking a motivated and professional Graduate Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in Christchurch. Reporting directly to the Management Accountant, you will be responsible for supporting accounting and administrative functions, ensuring smooth financial operations across Stratco NZ.
This role will be ideal for a recent Graduate or someone with up to two years of commercial accounting experience looking to advance their career.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Support accounts payable and receivable functions
Perform bank reconciliations
Manage sundry creditor accruals and debtor journals
Prepare daily operating reports
Assist with PAYE, GST, and FBT returns
Contribute to sales reporting and fixed asset maintenance
Support stock-taking and valuation processes
Provide additional assistance to the Management Accountant and the finance team as needed

ABOUT YOU

Degree qualified in accounting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to customer service
Proficient in MS Excel; experience with MYOB Cloud and Oracle is advantageous
Detail oriented, organised, and able to meet deadlines
Eager to learn and grow within a supportive finance team
