Governance Support Officer

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Governance Services Officer to join their team. In this role, you will work closely with the Governance Services Lead, providing high-quality administrative support and advice to Council, its Committees, Sub-Committees, and Community Boards. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the implementation and improvement of Governance Policy and Practice. About The Role As a Governance Services Officer, reporting directly to the Governance Services Lead, you will be responsible for: Providing high quality and efficient governance meeting services Preparing board minutes for council, committee, and community meetings Ensuring all processes adhere to relevant legislation Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders Timely provision of support services About You 3 years + experience in a governance support role or similar. Proficient in capturing and preparing high-quality governance meeting minutes and have sound working knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures relating to local government. Proven experience in building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Possess strong planning, organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
