Full time, Permanent 13 days ago, from Waikato District Councils Governance Advisor/s (full or part-time) Looking for a role with lots of variety? Looking for a workplace with great staff culture? For the right person, we have a permanent full-time position, or a mixture of two part-time positions (of 20-30 hours per week), with hours to be negotiated with the successful applicants but must be available Wednesdays as that is when the majority of our Council meetings occur. The role/s are based in Te Aroha, with opportunities to work from home. Your primary role will be providing governance advice and support to our Mayor and Councillors with the responsibility for organising Council and Committee meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes. Other responsibilities include providing support and advice to deserving community groups and organisations with grant processing and providing administration and engagement support for the local elections. This role will see no two days the same - with opportunity to gain insight into all aspects of local government. We are looking for a reliable team player with excellent communication skills, a strong administration background, a 'can do' attitude, and someone adept at multi-tasking. What can we offer you?
