Our Client offers an opportunity to solve some of the world's most challenging technical problems in Electronic Warfare, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, RF sensing, Sensor Fusion, and distributed systems.
Working with high profile customers across militaries, government agencies, airports, critical infrastructure, law enforcement, and many others.
With an approximately $1bn market capitalisation and having raised approximately $250m in 2024 alone, our Client is undergoing a hypergrowth stage, fuelled by rapidly increasing use of drones for nefarious applications, from battlefield to terrorism, to contraband delivery and commercial espionage.
This role is based at the headquarters in Sydney CBD.
There are approximately 160 staff based in the 4,000sqm facility today, scheduled to grow to approximately 300 staff by end of 2026.
Overseas on the ground presence includes Virginia (USA), Denmark, Germany, and Dubai, as well as distributors in over 70 countries globally.

About the role The company is seeking a Back End Software Developer with GO experience to join the development team in Sydney.

Responsibilities, Duties and Expectations Design and develop the current systems to increase functionality and usabilityBuild features and improvements from conceptualisation to realisation working closely with the software engineering teamTake operational responsibility for the services and code base that you will developQualifications, Experience and Skills 3 - 5+ years experience building REST APIs with GolangExperience developing microservices infrastructure is idealExperience working with two or more from the following: web application development, Unix/Linux environments, distributed and parallel systems, developing large software systems, and/or security software developmentFamiliar with Docker, Postman, GitLab, AWS is favourableBS degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experienceYou are experienced working with modern infrastructure and toolsYou are comfortable running your software in Linux environmentsYou know and care about sound engineering practices like continuous delivery, defensive programming, and automated testingYou're familiar with designing and building distributed and scalable systemsPrevious 'start-up' or 'scale-up' experience is favourableYou are a lifelong learner.
You're self-taught and continuously learning.
