Note: Partly is headquartered in Christchurch but has employees across NZ, AU, IN, UK and the EU. This position is to be based in Australia.

This role This role is the perfect opportunity for somebody wanting a green-fields project with enormous commercial and personal growth potential backed by a world-class team to work towards success with. The GM role will be critical in Partly's strategy and, ultimately, our success. You will be responsible for scaling a significant section of Partly's strategy and operation to gain adoption of our infrastructure across Australia.
What will you do? Commercial Viability: You will be responsible for the commercial viability and success in scaling a significant section of the business strategy across NZ and Australia.

Market Research and Planning: Conduct comprehensive market research to understand the needs of the auto parts industry in NZ & AU.

Platform Development: Connecting market research with technical requirements.

Project & Program Management: Develop a detailed project plan including timelines, budget and resources for successful NZ and Australian operations.

Partner/Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with clients and distributors, sign and onboard Parts Suppliers. Work alongside the executive team on operating models. Specify requirements by working closely with the tech team.

Pricing: Build our pricing framework, stress test and implement.

Collaboration: Collaborate with the marketing team to create a launch plan that effectively reaches your target audience. Ensure the platform is ready for a smooth launch with all necessary support systems.

Building a Team: As the project progresses, identify the need for additional team members and lead the hiring process. Manage and mentor the team to ensure project objectives are met.

Operations & Support Strategy: Develop and oversee how we support ongoing success with our partners and clients.

Your skills (Preferred) MBA or equivalent experience

Strong verbal and written communication and collaboration skills. You can quickly distil abstract problems into a concrete set of steps. You can understand the complexity and drive prioritisation of these steps.

Proven experience as a General Manager, Program Director, Operations Director or similar role.

Knowledge of business processes and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations, etc.)

Strong analytical ability

Outstanding organizational and leadership skills

Exceptional problem-solving aptitude

Parental leave and flexible return to work. After returning to work, primary carers can work 4-day weeks for 100% of their pay for the first twelve weeks. For secondary carers, we offer 10 days of leave at full pay.
