General Practitioner or Nurse Practitioner, Christchurch
Hours: Part time, minimum 24 hours. Permanent Position.
Looking to make a difference? Te Tahi Youth is a not-for-profit organisation created to provide free medical and social support services for young people aged 10-24 years. We are dedicated to providing an accessible, friendly, non-judgmental service that prioritizes the needs of the people we see.
This is an exciting time to join Te Tahi Youth and to develop your career. We're looking for a dynamic and experienced General Practitioner or Nurse Practitioner to assist us with our growth and development. You will provide professional and high-quality patient-centered and holistic care to rangatahi, who present with a diverse range of life experiences.
Many rangatahi we work with have mental health concerns, have been through state care, experience complex family dynamics, and/or have adverse childhood experiences.
What makes us unique is our ability to provide a wide range of services in one place. You will work alongside passionate Nurses, Social Workers, Youth Workers, Employment Navigators, and Counsellors to ensure rangatahi get the support they need to be the best version of themselves.
The successful candidate will:
Have a non-judgmental attitude and affinity for young people
Be a team player with a strong work ethic
Have Youth Health and Mental Health experience
Have a passion to see young people fulfill their potential
Have an ability to build rapport and trusting relationships
