This includes hiring and training employees, managing quality assurance programs, and ensuring timely completion of tasks. You will also play a vital role in maintaining the quality of our products and services through effective expectation setting and follow-up quality assurance processes.Key Responsibilities:Manage client and site operations, working closely with the Sales and Estimating Manager, Procurement, Back Costing, Claims and General Admin Assistant, and Site Managers.Conduct regular visits to operational sites, providing support and addressing any project-related issues.Liaise with clients to ensure project details align with the initial quote, and communicate any necessary changes.Collaborate with Site Managers to handle delays, problems, and client communications effectively.Allocate resources according to project cost phasing and ensure daily work schedules are established.Oversee the submission of daily site diaries, including targets, achievements, and relevant photos for quality assurance and claims purposes.Monitor and enforce compliance with safety measures and PPE requirements, taking immediate action on non-compliance.Work with Procurement, Back Costing, Claims and General Admin Assistant to optimize material ordering, cost control, and workflow factors.Assist in the preparation of accurate back costing reports and ensure timely processing of orders.Collaborate with Site Managers and Leading Hands to obtain daily accurate diary information and update back costing for each project.Plan the 12-week schedule to maximize labour resources and forward orders for materials as required.Provide support in Health and Safety Leadership, ensuring safety measures are in place daily.Participate in team reviews and occasionally act as a deputy for the Managing Director/Finance Manager.Utilize relevant software packages, including Aroflo, Bluebeam, Planswift, Google Suite, Bware, and Xero.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or relevant tertiary qualification in a related field.10+ years of experience in the roofing, metal decking, or construction industry.Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex construction plans.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.Adaptability to work in both office and site-based environments.Familiarity with construction laws, regulations, and industry standards, especially roofing codes and metal decking installation standards.Expertise in software packages such as Aroflo, Bluebeam, Planswift, Google Suite, Bware, and Xero.Join our dynamic team and make a significant impact as the General Manager - Roofing.
