General Manager - Manufacturing

Management (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics) Full time Taylors Manufacturing Ltd has been a part of the manufacturing sector in Christchurch for over 150 years.
As the character of the village, then town, then city has changed, so too has the work we do.
Today, Taylors manufactures low pressure hot water boilers, industrial fans and air pollution control equipment direct to industry and through our Group companies here and offshore.
We are a plate steel fabrication facility.
Taylors is an integral part of an extended group of 7 companies operating either side of the Tasman Sea.
About the Role We are looking for a leader to take this company forward, implementing the strategic plan and managing our Better By Lean programme of business improvement.
The General Manager is responsible for: Workplace safety, culture & relations.
Providing your team with the resources they need to succeed.
Coordination and interaction with other Group companies.
About You You will have a background in manufacturing, with an understanding of lean manufacturing.
You will be an effective, approachable people leader with good communication skills.
An innovative thinker who identifies opportunities and collaboratively solves problems without breaking a sweat.
A coach, a mentor, a guide, a decision-maker as required.
Experience in change management will be an advantage.
This is a challenging role.
