Details of the offer

About The Organisation

In October 2021, after many years of negotiation, the Ngati Kahungunu ki Wairarapa Tamaki Nui-a-Rua Deed of Settlement was signed.

In December 2022, the Ngati Kahungunu ki Wairarapa Tamaki Nui-a-Rua Claims Settlement Bill passed its third and final reading in Parliament.

These were momentous occasions for the people of Ngati Kahungunu ki Wairarapa Tamaki Nui-a-Rua and led to the establishment of the Investment Trust by the Settlement Trust.

The Investment Trust is dedicated to creating a reliable revenue stream through a low-risk strategy to grow their assets over time and generate income to fund the administration costs and distributions to the Settlement Trust.
About The Role

With oversight from the Board and support from the staff team, the General Manager (Investment Focus) will lead the Investment Trust's investment strategy and revenue investment growth.

The role is titled General Manager (Investment Focus), with delegations from the Investment Trust to lead the investment portfolio development and grow in broader General Manager skills under the mentoring of the Trustees. You will be required to work collaboratively with the Settlement Trust's Group Chief Executive.

It is based in Masterton, but there can be flexibility in location near to that area. However, it is a role where presence in-community and with whanau is very important.
About You

This is a role for a sound investment manager who is structured in the ability to analyse and undertake due diligence on new opportunities and the performance of existing ones. Your drive will be balanced by the understanding of the need for sustainable approaches to the development of the iwi and an ability to relate to whanau.
