We primarily operate out of locations throughout the global geo-market such as Australia, USA, Chile, UK, Mexico, Colombia, Denmark and have most recently been engaged in projects in the USA, Caribbean, Philippines, Kenya, Djibouti, Ethiopia, France, Indonesia, and Chile.
About the role As the General Manager you will effectively lead and develop the JRG Energy team and ensure accountability for results. You will work closely with the leadership team, our industry partners and clients to achieve business and project goals. You will oversee the strategic and commercial direction and operational excellence of the company.
The successful candidate is an experienced professional and strategic thinker who is people-focused and results-orientated. The candidate should enjoy the exposure to the challenges that are associated with operating across international markets.
Responsibilities and Duties: Develop and implement operational policies and procedures.Analyse current financial performance and identify key areas for improvement. Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, planning, and auditing.Develop and execute comprehensive financial, commercial, and operational strategies to drive business growth and achieve revenue targets.Accountable for the P&L and business plan of JRG Energy.Contract development and management.IT management; ensure all existing IT systems are effective for company purposes and are utilized to their full potential. Build effective and functional relationships across multiple stakeholder groups including industry, geothermal sector, academia, research institutions government, and international organisations.Provide leadership, guidance, and support to our management team to ensure alignment with the company's objectives and goals.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operational processes, improve efficiency, and enhance our service delivery offerings.Review key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track progress against targets, analyse performance data, and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.Identify and address problems and seek out opportunities for the company.Ensure all legal, regulatory and insurance documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws and regulations.About you You are passionate about innovation and sustainability, eager to learn and grow with us.You are proactive, creative, problem-solving oriented and can work independently and under pressure.High levels of commercial acumen with the ability to demonstrate strategic thinking.Skilled with business negotiations, partnership and customer relationship development.Proven record of financial compliance and bookkeeping abilitiesStrong interpersonal skills both written and verbal that resonate with diverse audiences are needed for the success of this positionExcellent customer interfacing skillsA track record of leading a business through periods of change.Experienced with leading teams in a remote working environment.Willing and able to travel internationally when requiredAvailable outside normal working hours and weekends occasionally to accommodate international time zone differences. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, finance, accounting, legal, engineering, operations management or related field. Tertiary education with relevant experience will also be acceptable.
