This is an exciting time in the history of WALSH Trust. With the relatively recent appointment of a new CEO, this is a newly created senior leadership role designed to support and drive service development, inspire and lead a group of great managers and drive values-based service excellence.

WALSH Trust has been a provider of mental health support services, delivering in West Auckland since 1988. We provide a range of mental health services including housing support, maternal services, mobile community support, employment and vocational support.
The role This role of General Manager is a newly created role. You will be responsible for the provision of inspirational leadership to our deeply committed managers and their teams. To meet our strategic objectives and deliver exceptional services we want you to foster innovation and improvement, to ensure our service offering is the best it can be. 
This is a varied and exciting role as a member of WALSH Trust's Senior Leadership Team, based in West Auckland.
Experience as a senior manager with experience working in a variety of mental health settings is essential. You will have a confident understanding of the community mental health and well-being environment in New Zealand and will have a reputation as a values-driven, outcome-focused leader.
Responsibilities include:  Senior management responsibility of all service delivery teams who are delivering a range of support servicesRelationship management with key external stakeholdersDevelopment and implementation of business opportunities that support WALSH Trust strategic objectivesLeadership activities - operational and strategic - that contribute to the development and overall well-being of WALSH Trust, and the provision of exceptional services Coaching/mentoring of a team of mental health managers We think you will be the person we want to meet if you have: 
Significant experience in a management/leadership role(s) - exercising contemporary management practicesExperience working within both the NGO and clinical settings is preferredAn ability to inspire, motivate, support, encourage and develop a diverse team of professionals to achieve tangible goalsAn appreciation of the challenges of delivering responsive services within diverse community environmentsA relevant tertiary qualification We will offer: A competitive salary packageOngoing training, with professional development opportunities A vehicle for work and private useA great team support networkClosing date for applications 30th August 2024.
