Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity The remuneration range for this role is $70,970 - $78,397 and is covered by the collective agreement: Te Whatu Ora Health New Zealand and PSA National Health Administration Workers Collective Agreement 01 January 2023 - 31 December 2024 Gisborne Hospital – Community Health Services Administration Rostered Hours * 0.4 FTE (32 hours per fortnight) Te Whatu Ora Tairawhiti values the work done by our administration workforce to enable the best patient outcomes through collaborative working across our clinical and non-clinical teams.

About the Team / Service / Location Community Health Services Administration (CSA) is a collaborative administrative team that supports our Allied Health and District Nursing teams across, inpatient, outpatient, and community settings.
Based in the main campus of Gisborne Hospital, we are the first point of entry for referrals, waitlist management, appointment bookings, consumables coordination, and funding management.

About the Role We are looking for an administrator to join our wider CSA team who will support all functions of our service in a part time role.
Duties could include reception, referral entry, appointment making, filing, ACC claim identification and general administration tasks.
The key responsibilities of this role include referral management, waitlist management, scheduling appointments, ACC contract knowledge, and reception duties.

The ideal applicant should possess Minimum of one year experience in a hospital based administration role Knowledge of ACC health contracts Proven knowledge of all Windows based applications (MS Outlook, Word, Excel) Knowledge of hospital based systems Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team Proven organisational skills and attention to detail Excellent time management skills, including the ability to prioritise appropriately Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines A positive attitude to go the extra mile to assist others Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
