The team currently comprises three gastroenterologists and a team of nurses led by two registered nurses with extensive gastroenterology outpatient and endoscopy experience. We have a very active and involved group of medical and surgical specialists here and a very collegial atmosphere exists.As our successful candidate, you will have proven skills and experience in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy. On application, please include a summary of your endoscopy experience. An ability to perform ERCP and large EMR would be desirable but not essential.The appointee will be involved in teaching, continuing medical education, and quality improvement. There is emphasis on ongoing development of services to meet the needs of our patients. A commitment to customer focus, service development, and teamwork are essential.Hawke's Bay Fallen Soldiers' Memorial Hospital is a 400-bed accredited facility providing acute and elective care for the Hawke's Bay region (a population of 160,000 people). The hospital is a modern facility with a full range of surgical, medical, oncology, and radiological services, including MRI, and is one of the largest provincial hospitals in New Zealand.
