Gaming Risk & Compliance Manager

Are you ready to lead the charge in gaming compliance and risk management? We're looking for a skilled Gaming Risk & Compliance Manager to support our NZ operational gaming teams in building a best-in-class compliance environment. Reporting to the GM - Gaming, you'll drive initiatives that elevate our compliance standards, mitigate risk, and foster an exceptional culture of safety and responsibility across our gaming operations.
About the role
In this role, you'll shape the compliance landscape by developing and implementing best practices across gaming operations. Your responsibilities will include reviewing internal controls, supporting audit outcomes, and acting as the primary liaison between our gaming functions and the Group Risk and Assurance teams. Your goal will be to ensure seamless compliance with AML, Host Responsibility, Health & Safety standards, and all gaming regulations, actively enhancing our performance and aligning with regulatory expectations. You'll play a key part in strengthening communication within the SkyCity NZ Gaming team, fostering a proactive culture focused on continuous improvement, and supporting the achievement of our strategic priorities.
About you
You bring at least 5+ years of experience in the NZ gaming industry and an in-depth understanding of its regulatory landscape. Your collaborative approach and strong communication skills will help you work effectively across large teams, providing guidance on regulatory and compliance obligations. Skilled in data analytics and process improvement, you're always looking for ways to enhance outcomes. Ideally, you also have risk management, audit experience and proficiency with data tools like Excel, PowerBI, or SQL. Your expertise will help maintain our high standards, exceed compliance goals, and drive operational excellence.
